Looking for Halloween Events in Gulfport? Two TrainTastic Favorites Are Back

Gulfport Halloween Events Gulfport MS.jpeg

Looking for family-friendly Halloween events in Gulfport, Mississippi? TrainTastic has two very different ways to celebrate in October 2026: Brick or Treat on Saturday, October 31, and Tricks, Treats & Trains on October 23, 24, and 30.

One is built around LEGO® creativity, building challenges, and a special LEGO® Masters guest. The other brings trick-or-treating, costumes, carnival games, a Haunted Depot, and themed train rides to TrainTastic after dark.

Do one.

Do both.

Just do not forget the costume.

What Halloween Events Are Happening at TrainTastic in 2026?

TrainTastic has two signature Halloween experiences planned for families this October:

Both events take place at TrainTastic in Gulfport and offer families a Halloween experience that goes far beyond a traditional pumpkin patch or trick-or-treat stop.

What Is Brick or Treat at TrainTastic?

Brick or Treat is TrainTastic’s LEGO®-filled Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 31 from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Families can spend the day building, creating, playing games, taking part in special LEGO® activities, and exploring the museum.

And this year, there is something new.

Meet LEGO® Master Tim Howell

Tim Howell, a Houston-based model builder and brick artist and former contestant on Season 4 of LEGO® Masters, will join TrainTastic for Brick or Treat 2026.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Tim, take a photo, see his creativity up close, and learn more about how a love of LEGO® building became his career.

Tim rediscovered his passion for LEGO® bricks while building with his sons and went on to create custom models, kits, architectural builds, large-scale projects, and more.

For young builders, it is a pretty great reminder that sometimes the thing you love doing for fun can grow into something much bigger.

What Is Included With Brick or Treat?

A Brick or Treat ticket includes:

  • LEGO® Master meet-and-greet and photo opportunity
  • LEGO® Master Build Sessions
  • Games and activities
  • Make-and-takes
  • Commemorative event brick badge
  • Build Your Own Minifigure, one per ticket
  • All-day TrainTastic museum access

Tickets are $30 for non-members. TrainTastic members receive 20% off with a valid Member ID.

Because LEGO® bricks contain small parts, participating Brick or Treat activities are recommended for ages 3 and older. Most LEGO® building challenges are best suited for ages 7 through adult LEGO® fans.

LEGO® Master Build Sessions Have Limited Space

Interactive Build Sessions require separate registration and are limited to 24 participants per session.

Walk-up registration may be available if space remains, but a spot is not guaranteed.

If your family wants to participate, registering ahead is the safest choice.

What Is the Brick or Treat Bulk Brick Bin?

Need one specific LEGO® piece?

Or maybe your child just enjoys digging through a giant pile of bricks looking for treasure.

For Brick or Treat, TrainTastic will bring out its Bulk Brick Bin, filled with LEGO® pieces available for purchase.

Guests can search through the selection, choose the pieces they want, and fill a container to take home.

The Bulk Brick Bin is available during Brick or Treat only and requires an additional purchase.

Can You Wear Costumes to Brick or Treat?

Absolutely.

Costumes are encouraged, so come dressed in your Halloween best.

TrainTastic simply asks that costumes remain family-friendly and allow guests to safely move around, build, play, and enjoy the exhibits.

What Is Tricks, Treats & Trains?

If candy, costumes, and a little spooky fun sound more like your family’s Halloween style, come back for Tricks, Treats & Trains.

This TrainTastic Halloween tradition returns for three nights:

  • Friday, October 23
  • Saturday, October 24
  • Friday, October 30

The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

Tickets are $10 for non-members, and TrainTastic members attend FREE.

What Happens at Tricks, Treats & Trains?

Guests can enjoy:

  • Trick-or-treat stations
  • Carnival-style games
  • Haunted Depot
  • Costume contest
  • Themed outdoor train ride

It is a Halloween night built for families, with different levels of spooky depending on how brave your crew feels.

Is Tricks, Treats & Trains Scary?

Tricks, Treats & Trains is designed to be fun for all ages, but families can choose how spooky they want their evening to get.

The Haunted Depot is recommended for guests ages 8 and older.

The outdoor train ride is family-friendly from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.

From 6:30 to 7:30 PM, the train ride gets a little spookier and is recommended for ages 8 and older.

That makes it easy for families with younger children to enjoy the early part of the evening while older kids can stick around for a few more Halloween chills.

Outdoor train operation is subject to weather and operating conditions.

Can Kids Wear Costumes?

Yes, and they should.

Costumes are a big part of Tricks, Treats & Trains, and guests can also participate in the costume contest.

As with Brick or Treat, costumes should be family-friendly and allow guests to safely enjoy the museum and event activities.

Should We Buy Tickets in Advance?

Yes.

Tricks, Treats & Trains is a TrainTastic fan favorite and can draw large crowds. Purchasing tickets ahead of time is strongly recommended and can also help make check-in faster when you arrive.

Brick or Treat Build Sessions are even more limited, with only 24 participants per session, so advance registration is especially important for those.

Which TrainTastic Halloween Event Should We Choose?

That depends on your family.

Choose Brick or Treat if your crew loves:

  • LEGO®
  • Building
  • Creative challenges
  • Meeting a LEGO® Master
  • Hands-on activities

Choose Tricks, Treats & Trains if your family loves:

  • Trick-or-treating
  • Costumes
  • Halloween games
  • Haunted attractions
  • Themed train rides

Or make October a TrainTastic Halloween month and do both.

Are These Good Halloween Events Near Biloxi?

Yes. TrainTastic is located in Gulfport, making both events an easy Halloween activity for families visiting from Biloxi and throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Because much of TrainTastic is indoors, families also get the benefit of a Halloween destination that is not completely dependent on Gulf Coast weather.
