Join TrainTastic's Volunteer Team!
TrainTastic offers a volunteer program for adults 18 and older who are interested in giving back to the community in a creative, hands-on environment. As a volunteer, you’ll support a variety of activities that help bring the museum to life—from assisting with interactive exhibits and welcoming guests, to helping with education programs, events, and day-to-day operations.
Volunteers are an important part of what makes TrainTastic a fun and engaging place for families and visitors. Whether you’re helping a child build their first model train or guiding a school group through an exhibit, your time and energy help create meaningful experiences.

Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Be a U.S. citizen or alien with legal rights to work in the U.S.
- Submit an online application
- Attend a schedule orientation class prior to start of service
- Pass a background check
- Submit a one-time $30 fee to cove a small portion of initial expenses
- Commit to volunteering a minimum of 4 hours/month or 25 hours within 6 months
- Sign and return all required paperwork, and participate in area-specific training
- Volunteer independently in a customer-oriented environment
- Be helpful and have “just train fun”
