5/2: TRAIN WARS

May the track be with you as we celebrate “May the fourth” early! Use the force as make light sabers in the STEAM Shop, craft your very own Wookie, and test your knowledge with trivia! 

10AM-2PM: Face painting with Hearts & Hues (additional fees apply)

12PM-2PM: Character Meet and greets (with scheduled breaks) 

5/6: HOMESCHOOL S.T.E.M. DAY

Happy Mother’s Day from TrainTastic! Celebrate with us with $3 mimosas (while supplies last), craft the perfect gift in the STEAM Shop, & capture the day with a FREE 4×6 keepsake print (with any photo product purchase.)

5/16: THOMAS DAY

10AM-5PM 

All aboard for Thomas Day at TrainTastic 🚂

Join us Saturday from 10 AM – 5 PM for a full day of Thomas & Friends-themed fun included with general admission. Enjoy a themed scavenger hunt, special train displays, games, crafts, bingo with prizes, and plenty of photo opportunities. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite train-themed outfit for even more fun.

5/24: TEEN ART WORKSHOP

10AM-5PM

Learn watercolor the “Just Train Fun” way with Gulf Coast Art Association! This FREE workshop is for ages 13-17. Partcipants will learn how to plan, sketch, and paint with watercolor as they capture the beauty of TrainTastic’s “Orange Grove” layout. Each teen will have the opportunity to enter their work in a contest, where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be announced at a special ceremony. 

 
 

5/25: MEMORIAL DAY

Kick off summer at TrainTastic this Memorial Day 🇺🇸!

We’re open 10 AM – 4 PM and ready for a full day of hands-on fun for the whole family. Explore trains, LEGO builds, interactive exhibits, and more, all included with general admission.

Memorial Day also marks the start of our summer schedule, with the museum now open on Mondays through Labor Day. Planning to visit more than once? Become a member and make TrainTastic part of your regular summer routine. 🚂

 
 

5/30: FUN-damentals of Model Railroading

Build skills and have some fun with the Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Club during their FUN-damentals of Model Railroading Workshop 🚂

Join us for a hands-on session where kids learn the basics of model railroading, from building and detailing to real techniques used on layouts. This small-group workshop is led by experienced hobbyists and designed for ages 8–99.
