Join us for “September is Special” Events 2023

TrainTastic is excited to introduce our “September is Special” event series, featuring new exhibits and fun, inclusive activities designed to celebrate the unique abilities of individuals with special needs and their families! These events have been thoughtfully crafted for people of all abilities, including sensitivity activities so those without special needs can experience a day in the life of those who are.

We warmly invite everyone to join us for these #JustTrainFun events and can’t wait to see all the magic we create together!

September 2

Event kick-off: New Exhibit Ribbon Cutting ✂️ & WHEELCHAIR 👨‍🦽 OBSTACLE COURSE

You’re invited to a #TrainTastic Kick-Off and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, introducing our “September is Special” event series and showcasing our brand-new exhibits!

Special sensitivity exhibits, touch and mobility glove boxes plus MORE will remain out all month!

SEPTEMBER 9

SAFETY DAY: Find The Helpers! 👩‍🚒

Safety Day is geared toward helping children be less fearful of people in uniform and showing children that First Responders, their vehicles and equipment are not scary!

The Biloxi Lion’s Club will also offer FREE Eye Screenings ALL day.

Saturday, September 9th
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: First Responders Meet & Greet, Tour their Vehicles & Equipment
10 AM - 5 PM: FREE Eye Exams
All Ages Welcome!
Ticket sales will end at 2:30 PM due to a private event

FREE admission for First Responders with ID all month long.

*Group rates of $10 per adult and $8 per child are available for families of first responders on Safety Day – Sept. 9th!

September 16

Senses Day: Seeing, Hearing & Touch 🤟

Senses Day is centered around empathy and understanding for those whose lives may look different than yours. Through a series of sensitivity activities, visitors can gain firsthand insight into the experiences of individuals with special needs, particularly related to hearing, seeing and touch.

There will also be dedicated playtime for special sensory kids!

Special sensitivity exhibits, touch and mobility glove boxes plus MORE will remain out all month!

*Group rates of $10 per adult and $8 per child are available for special-needs groups all month long!

September 23

Dyslexia Simulation & Dance Party 🕺

Our Dyslexia Simulation & Dance Party event will feature many activities, such as a dyslexia simulation, DJ dance party, a service dog demonstration and giveaways to celebrate a successful month of learning and fun!

September 30

Worldwide Day of Play: Games for Everyone 🎯

In celebration of Worldwide Day of Play, TrainTastic will have games of all types set up in the STEAM Shop and West Pavilion for everyone to enjoy!

Join us as we close out our “September is Special” events at TrainTastic!
